Born out of a real problem in online education
ATHENAEDUTECH was born out of a real problem in the online education space. For years, traditional online tutor directories operated with a major flaw: the moment a parent or student posted a learning requirement, their phone number became public property. Within hours, families were flooded with spam calls, high-pressure sales pitches, and unverified profiles. Finding a quality teacher became an unsafe, exhausting chore.
Our founder saw this broken ecosystem and decided to build a safer alternative. We re-engineered the matching process by introducing a human review layer. By blocking public directory access and hiding phone numbers by default, we handed control back to the families. Jitendra Gupta
Founder & CEO, ATHENAEDUTECHJitendra Gupta is an educator with over 15 years of experience teaching Physics to students preparing for elite competitive exams like IIT-JEE, NEET, Olympiad and Boards. Over the years, he has mentored thousands of aspiring engineers and doctors, helping them crack some of the toughest exams in the country.
Jitendra holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. His background at one of India’s top research institutes instilled in him a deep respect for academic rigor, verification, and structural precision.
After watching parents struggle against unreliable directories and endless spam, Jitendra founded ATHENAEDUTECH to bring data integrity and safety back to education. He believes that finding a great teacher should be a secure, calm, and professional experience for every family.
